Ben Burr-Kirven Dominates the PAC-12 4 Years After Doing so for SHP

Ben Burr-Kirven, senior linebacker at the University of Washington, and SHP class of 2015, was
named as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, after UW’s win over Utah on 9/15, for the
first time in his career. The week after, he was named as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the
Week again, for the second time in his career, two weeks in a row. That week, he had a                                                          monster game against Arizona State, totaling 20 tackles, 14 solo tackles, and 2 forced fumbles.
That was the first time someone from UW was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week
twice in a row since 2002. That week, he was also the UW coach’s defensive player of the week.
This past week, UW traveled down to UCLA and cruised to a 31-24 victory. Burr-Kirven had 15
total tackles with a deflected pass. The Huskies are now 5-1 so far.
