This week the SHP athletic department has officially released Coach Pete Lavorato’s replacement: Coach Mark Grieb. Coach Grieb has spent the last few years as the quarterback coach, producing talents including Brad Yaffe, Thomas Wine, and current back up at the University of San Diego, Mason Randall. However, Coach Grieb has done so much more for the program than just produce high talent QB’s. He has been highly influential to the offense and play calling helping Coach Lav. Mark Grieb has not only been a vital assistant coach at Sacred Heart, but also the Menlo College head coach for multiple years. Furthermore, Coach Grieb is widely considered to be the greatest Arena Football League player in history. He played 13 seasons in the AFl for the San Jose Sabercats and the Anaheim Paranhas. The entire program is excited to see our new head coach and the great things to come.
