Last Thursday, the highly anticipated new varsity head football coach was announced.  The new coach will be Mark Grieb.  Grieb has been with the SHP program for two years, serving as the quarterback coach.  Prior to arriving at SHP, Grieb coached for over a decade at schools such as Stanford, University of California and Foothill and Menlo College, and even the San Jose Sabercats of the AFL.  Before coaching, he played quarterback in the arena football league with a number of teams, and set multiple league records, such as best completion percentage in one season (73%).  With all this knowledge of the game, Grieb was one of the player-favorites last year as he is able to connect with the kids.  It is evident Grieb has plenty of experience under his belt, and the program is eager for him to officially start his role of head coach next month.
