Studio Art Chalk Self-Portraits

Have you checked out the art room recently? In Ms. O’Leary’s Studio art class, each sophomore composed a chalk self-portrait. At the beginning of the assignment, each student was asked to choose an emotion at random. Then, the students took pictures of one another, expressing their given emotion. Though accurately depicting the expressions was quite meticulous, one of the artists, Jasmine Cheek, explained that the assignment proved “well worth it” in the end. Their hard work and persistence had paid off with a handful of beautiful portraits, like those seen below.
